Peru is a very diverse country. It is also much bigger than you think. Machu Pichu was very interesting and when we were there, cold! Because of the elevation I think it is probably cold all the time. If you are into fishing, try the Patagonia region. If you are a shopper, then you would have to buy an alpaca throw or blanket.
I also enjoyed Argentina. I am big on steaks and had some of the best meat I have ever eaten in Buenos Aries. Just ask the locals where the best steaks are and you won’t be disappointed. If you have ever wanted anything made of leather, this is the place to buy it! Best prices I have ever seen, and I live in Texas!
Rio de Janero was a let down for me personally, I thought it was a bit on the dirty side considering its popularity, but the beach people in our group loved it because of the famous beaches they got to visit!
    To each their own.
    Hope this helps.
    Happy travels!

Peru has excellent Hiking and machu pichu is fantastic many of the interesting places to go in Peru are more spread out. It is also well worth checking out Lake Titicaca (is incredibly beautiful) and La Paz in Bolivia.

    Head to Colombia.

I have been there and things have changed somewhat. Other countries are just as nice but crammed with tourists!

Go to THE LOST CITY in the North or else visit Cartagena, which Frommers rate as one of the best travel destinations in the world, after Berlin.

Colombia has 4 characteristics which everyone craves:
    1. Happiness
    2. Green
    3. Opportunities
    4. Women
Ask around don’t take my word for it.
