Can I travel within the domestic US on a foreign passport with an expired VISA?

Specifically, air travel. Do they even bother looking at the VISA for domestic flights?
No US government ID.
credit card jokes are funny, but this is a serious question

    If you have a U.S. government or state government issued ID (i.e., driver’s license), the airlines should not ask for more than that.

    If you are travelling on a foreign passport, they will want to see your VISA too.
