No you can’t in general; only to certain countries.

Visa-exempted: Argentina, Columbia, Ecuador, French Guyana, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela

Visa issue on arrival:
Bolivia (requires a 4x4cm [1 9/16] photograph, a hotel reservation, the visa application, and a fee of $135, which is the same amount as if you would have applied in advance at the Embassy);
Chile (reciprocal entrance fee of $131)

Visa required in advance from the Embassy: Brazil, Paraguay, Suriname

You can get all of your tourist visas at the border for all countries (except for Brazil of course). I think the visa for Bolivia is cheaper if you get it ahead of time – not sure on Bolivia exactly. They changed their visa requirements for U.S. citizens recently.

Do you need visa for each country that you will visit, us are Brazilian we can go to the Mercosul countries without visa, but you will need.

Check each country’s visa requirement. I have travelled to Argentina, Peru and Chile and could enter without problem. You will definitely need one for Bolivia.
